Rowany Festival 2026

Wednesday 8th April until Tuesday 14th April 2026

 

Hark to those who travel from afar

To the lands on which we gather

To laugh and feast, to fight, art, and dream

And join together upon Rowany’s fields.

Their Excellencies the Baron and Baroness of Rowany invite one and all to Rowany Festival 2026  This is the largest event for the Society of Creative Anachronism in Australia.

Come join in the adventure that is Rowany Festival where we gather to fight, cheer, art, science, create, wait, run, hit, chat and enjoy our community.

NOTES ABOUT TICKETS AND COSTS

"Setup Sunday"  5th of April There is no cost/ticket needed to come on site and setup during "Setup Sunday" . If you want to stay Overnight on "Setup Sunday" then you will need a Pre-event Ticket for Sunday

"Pre-Event Monday" the 6th of April To be on site or stay overnight on  "Pre-Event Monday" you will need a Pre-event ticket for Monday. 

"Pre-Event Tuesday" the 7th of April Anyone who is booked for the full event can be onsite on "Pre-Event Tuesday" with no additional fee. 

Game On - Wednesday April 8th to Tuesday  14th April  These days are self explanatory using normal event booking rules.  

NON MEMBER RATES

Non Member rates include a once off charge for the event at $10 per adult and $5 per child. Membership Validity is checked and you will be required to pay this fee if you cannot provide a current membership number. A non member event waiver will need to be signed

Event Token

This year we are again doing wooden tokens which are covered by the standard event entry prices or a special pewter version of the token for those who enjoy collecting the yearly tokens. The pewter token requires an extra $4 on top of the selected entry price to cover the extra cost of having these pewter tokens created. Access wise, there is no difference between the two varieties of tokens.

 

Terms and Conditions;

Please note the introduction of a cancelation policy for Festival 2026 as below.

 

Refunds

Cancelations before March the 8th will receive a 100% refund of the ticket price.

Cancelations before April the 5th will receive a 50% refund of the ticket price.

Cancelations after April the 5th will not receive a refund.

 

Tickets can be transferred to another attendee by the original purchaser Emailing the bookings officer.

 

Event will be cancelled in the event of a catastrophic bush fire emergency.

 

There are additional terms and conditions associated with payment plans which will be forwarded to you on request of a payment plan option.

Directions From Sydney:

Travel south on the Hume Highway.

Take the Mittagong/Bowral exit.

Continue along the Old Hume Highway.

Veer right through Mittagong as you follow the signs to Wombeyan Caves.

After 2 km turn right into Wombeyan Caves Road.

 

From Melbourne / Canberra / Goulburn:

Head north along the Hume Highway.

Take the Mittagong exit (Old Hume Highway).

Turn left onto the Old Hume Highway.

After approximately 500 m, turn right into Wombeyan Caves Road.

 

Once on Wombeyan Caves Road:

Travel down Wombeyan Caves Road for 12 km.

Turn right into Black Spring Road.

After 1.5 km, keep right into the Camp Wombaroo property
